I'm a huge SP fan and so I'm really excited about ZWAN's up and coming. Has Billy Corgan, Jimmy Chamberlain, Matt Sweeney, David Pajo and Paz Lenchantin.
They've already released their first single, "Honestly" and I thought it was OK. I think it's really catchy, but not groundbreaking by any means (though I have a hard time not enjoying anything that Corgan or Chamberlain has their hand in)
They're also touring right now and even toured a bit last summer, doing mostly small venues. Their album is scheduled to come out in March and I can't wait. I've heard some stuff on MP3, but the quality is pretty bad. (Drives me crazy to have a recording filled with mostly people just screaming, what seems like, directly into the microphone or whatever recording device they were using) So I'm awaiting a studio release or live show and reserve my real thoughts until then, though I doubt I'll be disapointed.
