I guess you could say I had a WoW problem. I decided to quit WoW because I didn't have enough time in my life to dedicate to raiding/farming/honor. I tried to juggle a girlfriend and a social life with the game for about two weeks and I decided I didn't like playing the game only part-time, so I quit.

But I also used to have a drug problem, and you can't really compare the two. It took me a year and a half to finally kick the drugs and two weeks to kick WoW.

Computer "addiction" is only a case of -temporarily- misplaced values and/or depression. There is no detox. I'm sure the rate of recovery is very high. The rate of relapse very very low.

Calling a computer problem an addiction is a real slap in the face to anyone out there who was really addicted to something.
