| Yuzo Koshiro's music for Actraiser 1 and 2 are simply amazing.
Using classical orchestrations, it ranges from very moody pieces dominated by violins to military marches with a strong melodic presence of the brass section. Filled with clever changes in pace, sudden climaxes and, I don't know how to describe it, very productive interactions between the different layers of the music.
Of course the original music still feels pretty synthetic (even more so with the player I found on PC that on the real games I feel), but I also have some mp3 with medleys made with a real orchestra and it is jaw dropping material. |
