Plasma does not last as long as LCD or LED (LED will replace Plasma, or so I have heard from dealers) and it burns in easily. The picture quality is great, but the major companies are getting out of the plasma markets because they have improved LCD and LED TV's to be just as good if not better. I think they found a way to make LCD and LED produce better HD quality images than most plasmas.
