They did, and it worked, essentially.

Still, because of the limited buff range on ALL buffs, vampiirs ruled the solo world there. Being naturally fully buffed all the time kinda turned the tide for them.

Then there was melee rangers with there Physical Defense Realm Ability, which upped their melee resists (yes, you had melee resists like you have spell resists) and made it damn near impossible to kill them since there were no legendary weapons (ToA and beyond).

You still basically had all the cap stuff though, because classic servers were just TOA axed. Catacombs, DR etc, all still existed there.
