| Another major problem I had with DAOC that is more of a philosophical game issue than a technical one is the "feature creep" that DAOC gained with each new expansion. Ironically, all the master levels, relics, new abilities, super special class specific RRs, and other Monty Haul features ruined the game imo. "But Awanka, isn't having more options a good thing?" Not necessarily. Look at great pvp games like Counterstrike; they only have a few abilities. A good pvp game relies on a simple set of abilities and features. The skill is in the technique and execution. |
