I've been reading WoT since I was twelve. I've barely read any fantasy books because of that reason, I think. Everything seemed stupid/childish next to it.

Now that I started reading A Song of Ice and Fire, WoT seems childish. Does this mean I can't read any more fantasy books? I wish writers would step up and start doing more badass works for people who don't like the "Every hero is a super badass and can never die and can cast any spell they want at little cost to themselves, etc." horse shit that fantasy novelists shovel down our throats.

We shouldn't have to resort to reading childrens books and feeling like flaming faggots/nerds because of it. We just need some more writers with balls, like Martin.

P.S. Making fun of a 26 year old who reads Harry Potter is justified. If someone made fun of me for reading ASOIAF I would crush thier face with a mace, then rape thier mother on a pile of corpses.
