I did BRD at the 55 cap also and remember vividly in Live when people wouldn't go into BRD until 60. The first BRD group to kill the emperor on my server had like 14 people in it..most of them 60. /sigh

Our exact estimates as to when tier 3 gear will become outdated have shifted back and forth somewhat as we continue to tune the expansion, however not dramatically so. While we do anticipate players wearing full tier 3 gear to find some upgrades/sidegrades from new endgame dungeons, the big draw will be in Karazahn and higher.

Please keep in mind that this information is simply meant to provide everyone with some insight into this process, and much like any aspect of game play that's still in development, it's subject to change.
It doesn't exactly say where the better-than-naxx loot will fall. It does say the big draw is in Karazhan.. which implies Karazhan loot will be better than naxx. Later in the thread he says the Risk V Reward in Karazhan will be "very high", I guess meaning it'll be very difficult. He really doesn't say alot here.
