Horrid analogy on multiple levels. There is no content in chess that non-GM players are locked out of. There are no peices in chess that non-GM players cannot equip/use. There is no ongoing chess design committee that only releases content for GM chess players.
You want to spend more time playing and get rewarded for it. Thats fine! I just want to have content in the game that can keep me and the 75% of the playerbase who plays like I do (see: non-raiding) busy, as well as keeping raiders busy. It's really Blizzard's fault for not releasing enough content - and then the content they do release is all raids. I really have no issue with raiders getting better gear, if I had shit to do it would be irrelevant.
