Interestingly, such attitudes are overwhelmingly presented by paragons of intellect who can't even manage to differentiate between "your" and "you're".
And that someone can say, with a straight face, "I think of gay as being the same as calling someone a douchebag" as if to say that's somehow not offensive is quite an impressive lack of getting-the-point. |
But that is the whole point, that most people when using this language don't make that connection.
