Yeah I see how it can waste a lot of time - just think of the people who were 60 when KoS released though.
On the upside there'll be a lot of areas to explore with the new expansion in november, and even more quests to do.
I've also done pretty much all the common collections (those where you can buy the pieces on the broker) prior to KoS and I have 17AA at level 68
But there's still a lot of quests, many with great rewards - so I suppose for me it just comes along naturally without trying to grind for it. AAs don't seem critical, maybe it's different when you're raiding a lot though.
