Yea, generally you lose anywhere from 10-25 AA points depending on how many collections/explorations you did if you hold off on KOS till 50+.
While you can always go back and mentor to kill named mobs, you cannot "re-do" collections/explorations. Both of these sources of AA are huge, and without them, you'll have to do quite a bit of AA grinding once you hit 70 to max your AA's.
