The lack of polish with running and swinging and running is...disturbing. I hope that their revamp fixes it.
Let's not kid ourselves. If SOE fixes the animation system, which it damn well better do, people will not suddenly flock to the game over WoW. There isn't a high end raiding guild lamenting being forced to stay in WoW because of EQ2s shitty moving animations. It'll just be one less negative people notch under EQ2s belt. Proper animations will probably make people enjoy the game more though, and as a result lasso in a few new players. Hopefully they'll at least break even with the cost of it.
Hell, if they did that plus got rid of that stupid auto face whenever you're in combat I might even give the game another shot. I probably won't make it past the first few hours, of course, but I'll send Gallenite a
PM for sure.
