I was on the press tour last week that Blackguard and Raijinn took through the Adventure Pack. Prior to that, I'd been in the beta since the first day helping to test some of the content.

Unlike previous Adventure Packs, this one is out in the open for the most part. It's absolutely fantastic to move through a village that actually feels like a village, such as Shin. Previously in Everquest 2, the only "villages" we'd had access to were like Windstalker Village or Thundermist Village...which were really just collections of buildings and NPCs. These areas didn't feel alive at all. Shin is very much different in that regard. Just hanging out in the area gives a different atmosphere than I've felt in previous zones.

Some of the content in here for single groups is very, very difficult. In fact, some of it was toned down during Beta because it was ridiculous. At one point, my group was completely killed and THEN thrown in various directions by a Nayid (snakewoman) named, who used an AE "Tail Whip" to hit each of us for well over 10,000 damage. Obviously, that was a bit...much.

Even then, there's some incredible visibles in the lower portions of the Forsaken City, which (like old Veksar) are underwater dungeons that are mazes to move through.

Comic relief moments? The first time I fought the ghost of "The Vegetarian Troll" and his helpers. Also, finding out about the new drink, "Everlasting Gnomish Love".

If you want more of a review, click on the link Soriak listed. I think Arthias did a great job on his write-up, and it answers a lot of the questions some folks have been asking me over the past couple weeks.

If any of you are on Guk server, you can expect to see myself and my guildmates hitting the content fairly aggressively over the next several weeks.
