Ya wouldnt wast much money on gear untill late on but spend it on adept 3's and masters. Buy them as near the level you get them (most spells upgrade every 14 levels) and you will see a vast ammount of diference. Untill 50+ gears isnt a big deal especially if you are well kitted out on adept 3/masters
