I guess you can see now what is a little silly about a MGS movie. How can you make a 2 hours movie that is somewhat solid (pun not intended), when in the game you can have 20 min long conversation over codec! As far as I am concerned, the "flow" of a Metal Gear game seems more suited to be adapted into a TV serie rather than a movie.
A less complexe plot, with less backstory and less twist and turn is certainly possible but that's sacrifying a lot of the Metal Gear trademarks. Who knows? Maybe the writter will be a competent one and manage to do something that works very well in a 2 hours timeframe? |
