| Clash with out a doubt. I think they really brought music to punk whereas Sex Pistols (which I like and like PIL even more) and other bands of the era were just thrashing noise and mostly one hit wonders. Siouxise and the Banshee's were pretty good to.
Whoever took a jab at the Go-Go's, they were fairly hard core punk prior to getting a record deal going they "sold out" so to speak. I forget the name of the album but there is one out with some rare live stuff that is pretty raw. |
