I don't know about other games, but in WoW - I used to hate gold farmers. I'd go out of my way to kill them.
The more I think about it though, how do gold farmers affect us? Cheap mana/health potions? OH NOES! Those cheap pots are awesome.
Cheap Foror's book? Sign me up.
Saving us from farming for gold to raid?
Where's the downside? We can't go to Tyr's Hand or Hearthglen? Oh noes, those 3 quests are ruined. DAMN.
Most of the shit they do is in instances anyway so unless they're lagging up your server by bouncing instances, it really doesn't affect you. There really aren't many BOE's worth buying anyway, especially if you've ever set foot in a raid instance..
