The reason I think this is because of the vast amount of roleplayers who rp DE's who betrayed to Qeynos and now follow Erollosi Marr or Quellious in order to show peace, etc. I think the RP'ers would be pretty upset if they've been rping their character to follow a different god and then have to pick one from a list instead =/

I bet they'll let you choose either any god or good+neutral gods for qeynos and evil+neutral gods in freeport. If they let ogres be coercers and rogues, then i'm sure they'll let darkelves worship the Marrs if they so choose.

Personaly I like this. I always hated how small a role the gods played in EQ in terms of character customization.
