What he said. There's nothing wrong with the basic premise of the novel it's just that Dan Brown is a god awful writer from a technical perspective. The actual sentences themselves just make it painful and boring to read, something I've rarely seen any author manage. Usually that sort of shit doesn't make its way past an editor.
