| The Legendary Caster item is a wooden dowel with a parakeet on the end? I know that the existing reference imagery for Medivh's staff makes it a very pedestrian looking object, but the leaked pics of the WoW realization of it makes it look even more boring than when seen in War3.
Given the way Ashbringer looks and the already distinctive appearance of Thunderfury I am just....well.... underwhelmed by the way the Staff of the Guardian looks.
Well that and the reported stats are just kinda boring. Base stats and + damage... The aura is similarly boring. Useful? Yeah....but there's a reason no one gives a rats ass about having a Moonkin in the group and thats because increasing crit percentage is DULL. It might have statistical relevance when you parse out damage, but compared to the Thunderfury effect (something original and wholly different) its not all that.
Oh right the portal. Yeah. Port a group to Kharzan. Convenient if you happen to plan on spending lots of time there I guess, but that won't even be a destination until Thanksgiving at best and requires telling your group "hey guys don't go to the dungeon...lets everyone gather in IF instead so I can port us there!"
It might sound like sour grapes and I'm sure more than one person will just say "Well you dont HAVE to get a legendary item!" But to me it just looks like more indication that WoW is a melee-centric game that only regards casters and caster classes as a necessary evil at best and not worth putting more than an afternoon's effort into content creation for.
