The publisher's for Brad's new game will want him to release before the game is ready, and so the new company will join SOE in need of funding. Brad's new company will then merge with SOE and eventually Brad will start work on the sequel to his new game... etc.

This will go on for an untold amount of time before Brad notices the number 3 appearing everywhere. Just before he's about to make another MMO, he notices 3 buttons on Smed's collar after Smed suggests that he adds more cowbell to the new MMO. Brad follows Smed's advice, thus breaking the time loop.
