Right, but they are of a similar genre (Level up, get better loot through harvesting or mining, kill players) and therefore the comparison was drawn.
And let's be honest; EVE is a great game. No argument there. It's what I imagined when I thought of what it would be like with Wing Commander going online and multiplayer, years ago.
For the amount of time invested, though, newbies better be prepared for a heavy workload - and expectant of the amount of learning that will be necessary to (not so much compete against other players) compete and be competitive in the game.
Toss around words like PvP and some Sullon Zek people might go buy this game only to be frightened off after a week of play.
