| It was not that bad. The acting was so-so with several lesser known actors however it did have Max Von Sydow and Christanna Loken as well as some other actors whose face was familiar but I could not remember their names. The special effects were not so bad. It wasn't exactly compelling but wasn't a snooze fest either.
It is basically a retelling of the The Nibelungenlied which is actually a German folktale but has always been tied to Norse mythology. It is probably one of the most well known operas by Wagner and was basis for what Tolkien used when he created the Lord of the Rings.
