| "Gungrave" is a fantastic series, and one of the only anime series I've ever bothered watching to completion. I agree with some previous posters, though, in that I found the human drama much more compelling than the superpowers and zombies and whatnot. It reminded me somewhat of "The Godfather," or maybe "Goodfellas." I also thought the whole non-linear storytelling aspect was pretty cool.
And for the poster who said he didn't like the series finale: I can see what you mean, but actually, I thought the final episode was one of the most powerful in the series. It really tied the whole human side of the story together nicely. |
