| I'll preface this by saying that I'm a fully holy/disc specced priest, but theres some merrit in playing a shadow priest that 'doesnt heal' in battlegrounds.
Sure, if you want to blow people up be a Mage etc etc but.... as a shadow specced priest, you can get an instance group easily as the only healer, or join your friends on small raids as a main healer but then be a viable damage dealer in a battleground to have a bit of fun and do something other than spam flash heal.
Hoping 1.10 introduces more grey areas and varied builds, but when you spend 90% of your time watching bars and then pressing flash heal, its a nice go hit a BG sometimes and just kill people. Yes ok... sometimes its gonna be better to heal, it doesnt take much common sense to realise that you're going to be more effective healing a group but sometimes its just about having a bit of fun |
