| Just to continue the derail, am I the only one who thinks Naruto would be 1000 times better if they cut about 85% of it? I thought that fight early on between Naruto and the creepy mirror kid (the one who owns Sasuke) was way badass; that black-and-white, pure-rage-mode Naruto was soooo cool. Then it was like boring as fuck for 40 episodes. My friend told me it picks up when Sandboy and naruto go at it, but that just felt like an episode of DBZ where each character is even more invincible than the last.
At the very least they could take out the cliche anime aspects, like where characters fall over when they're shocked by something, or the whole 'pouring tears out of your eyes' thing. Hell, maybe I just need a different anime altogether. Anyone recommend something in the lines of Naruto but with slightly less gay? (seen Berserk, but that's it as far as anime series goes) |
