| I hate to be the cynical jerk, and I do like Tortoise, but I don't understand what is wrong with some young people.
The guy doesn't know shit about hard times, if what he has posted on his website is his reasons for commiting suicide.
He's make a 65 in English. So what? It's an extremely meaningless grade in his age of schooling.
Obviously I am no pyschologist, I don't understand what these people have going in their head. I truly wonder if he really wants to commit suicide, or want's attention from us, or from the Marissa girl. Killing yourself over a 65 in English, that is rediculous. Why don't you study harder instead?
Everyone wants to seem like they have a tough life. And a lot of people have tougher lives. And there are millions of people who know tons more about tragedy than making a 65 in English. Think of the people who lost their families in Sept 11th. Or think of the Man who was walking out of the Michael's with his wife, and he starts loading packages into his car, and boom, suddenly half of head is blown off by that god damned fucking sniper.
If you read half of the blogs on the deadjournal webpage, it's all young people who act like their life is so tough. Trust me, if you have time to be maintaining an internet blog, your life is not that tough.
Hell, I don't have a rough life. If my grades start to drop, I study. I don't try to off myself. Yes, I know about hard times, I've had loved ones die, but killing myself never occured to me. That's just being a coward. It's the bullshit, chicken way out of any kind of trouble.
In fact, it makes me sick to think about someone saying they are going to kill themselves. No matter what, there are people who love you in this world. And think about the grief you will cause them if you kill yourself. Just because someone is mad at your doesn't mean they don't love you.
And that makes me think of my good-friend Julia who's dad has lung cancer, that has metastisized into his vertebrae. She's not going around contemplating suicide.
You have something wrong with you Tortoise, if you are truly considering commiting suicide over some grades, or over some girl that doesn't like you when you are 14. Fourteen years old is fucking young. There is right at a 100% that no girl that you are in love with at fourteen years old you will marry. If you are truly considering commiting suicide Tortoise, then you need to talk to your school conselor, or your parents. Let them know what you are doing.
And 7 aspirin will not do the trick.
Anyway, I'm sick of writing in this thing, so I'm ending this post. |
