| I have had Dish Network since 2000 and I have not had one outage yet, other than the rare, occasional huge thunderstorm or snow, but that only lasts minutes and is expected with satellite.
I have local channels, and I used to have a shitload of pay channels but I recently cancelled them because I didnt watch them.
The thing thats nice about Dish is now when your a new subscriber, they will give you cool equiment for free, like a divix type recorder and other recievers for up to 4 rooms, and if im not mistaken install it for free.
My parents still have Cable in our local area and she pays alot more for less programming.
