| CYE is the best comedy show I have ever seen on television. However, I've never seen the BBC Office and never got into Arrested Development, and I have heard they are good. I have watched almost no Seinfeld, but what little I have seen is not as enjoyable as CYE.
The show is intelligent, really intelligent. It is also really fucking funny. I think Larry David is hilarious and fascinating. He's a misanthrope, he's a dick, he's a curmudgeon. He is really funny. He over-analyzes everything, and nothing goes right for him. Ever.
And his manager Jeff is great too, ESPECIALLY his wife, and the way every episode she says things like, "FUCK YOU, JEFF, YOU FAT FUCK, AND FUCK YOU TOO, LARRY, YOU FUCKING FOUR-EYED PIECE OF SHIT".
I don't understand the haters. If they think the show is "utterly queer" I can only imagine that there are probably some projection issues going on. |
