| They see it as 40 levels, not ten. Depending on how they curve the exp then it won't matter that you can get to level 5 so quickly. Although d20 smoothed it out, and this is based on d20, in the old systems the amount of exp to go from 8 to 9 was the same as it was to go from 1 to 8.
