| If that's how they set it up then yes, she's out of luck. The money is left in trust for whoever he decided, in this case her step mother. The step mother would have no obligation (as far as I know) to give any of it to the daughter, if she didn't want to.
However I don't think it's realistic. If you're wealthy like that, you have a fucking will. What if both are killed? Surely they'd have something in place to prevent their relatives fighting each other tooth and nail for the money.
And I haven't really been watching it this season (or even last), but I follow it well enough. And I totally did not expect last night's ending. Nice to see they're willing to kill off major characters at a decent pace, gives me faith they won't try to drag the show on for years longer than it should. |
