It's OK... I am currently stuck and have no idea where to go and what to do, which is refreshing. I'm wondering if the rare souls from various monsters are required to pass certain chunks of the game, which would be a new direction for validating the obsessive compulsive nature of collecting abilities that are really just eye candy. The weapon system is interesting with upgrading items by dumping souls into them ... but it's sorta worrysome that I'm at 10% done and have played for 20 mins.

I guess a rule of thumb is that portable systems are best if played only while having a shit.
