didn't mgs2:substance only really do that in the cut scenes though?

Anyways - on playing on weaker systems. Well, I know films work at the frame rate they do because of "natrual" motion blur. Movies are shot (or, released atleast. not sure on the specifics) at 24 frames per second. Your Eye can see up to about 60 frames per second. But you ask, why do movies look like real life at 24 frames per second but you can tell choppyness in a game at even 30 frames per second? Well, like I said at the start movies use motion blur to cheat and make the motion look fluid.

So my guess is, even though the engine is high end, because of the motion blur the engine is able to get away with less frames and still look fluid.

If anyone actually knows what i'm talking about, please explain with better detail.

edit: Also, these arent' just 3 armchair programmers that decided to make a game. They were 3/7s of the team that made Savage. While that game didn't really take off, I enjoyed the demo and it shows these guys have experience.
