Wow, that's messed up.

try:

fdisk /mbr

then format your stuff.

this is asuming you don't dual boot with a linux distro.

edit:

maybe run your m.f.g. hard disks diagnostics, also might try turing off virtual memory then rebooting and giving it a go.
