| Underated actors.
I just rented Meet Joe Black, and I tell you, every time I see him in a movie I gain more respect for Bradd Pitt.
Originally I blew him off as a no talent 'pretty boy' cause all the girls go crazy for him. But honestly he's a really fucking good actor. I mean his range is incredible.
Sure, you may be going "he's a major star, how is he underated??" I think alot of people just think he's a star cause of his pretty boy status, but I'd said he's one of the top 5 best actors at the moment, and I'm talking raw talent not selling power.
To round out that top 5, and this is just a personal opinion in no particular order: Edward Norton, Tom Hanks (duh..), Kevin Spacey, and Anthony Hopkins.
So I'd like to hear some other people's opinion of their favorite actors (no actresses just to keep it simple). One of the key criteria needs to be their ability to defy typecasting. I think Robert De Niro is a great actor, but if I see him in anything other then a toughguy/mobster role, it doesn't fit. |
