there's just as many bad animes as there are bad movies, or bad songs, or paintings.... what you just said applies to all forms of media. I do not like most anime. Most of it is ass that exactly follows the description you just gave. However, there are some really great animes that break the mold. Cowboy Bebop is one of them (in my opinion, the best anime series out). Trigun is another (second best
). Try out these two before you go around dismissing the entire genre.
