"Whats so hard" is that:
1. He tells you to drop the illusion, but you do not have to. If you listen to him, the quest is made somewhat harder since you can agro guys in Hearthglen on the way out and die. So right off the bat we are getting incorrect information from the NPC - he says he will kill you with the illusion on, but he wont, and keeping it on is actually better.
2. He does not say whether to help him or not. After running the quest four times, I have observed that he *can* die within the walls of and just outside of Hearthglen. Once he makes his way a bit down the path, he can CH himself and can not die until intended to. |
I believe the intent is for players to do it as a group, you are meant to help him. The dumb thing to my mind is that you first need to help him, then you need to watch him die.
I succeeded solo on my first try in jan-feb, I dropped illusion as required and just assisted him. Unfortunately I got killed when he did, luckily I didn't release and Tirion kicked some ass.
