And I think it's really what the gamers want in the end, to be honest. Fun toys and silly outfits and wacky quests to spice up their game. Remember years ago (velious I think) where a player posted a doctored picture of the bunny-hat and claimed they had found some secret combine that allowed you to make it. EVERYONE in the community wanted the hat, be it casual players or FOH. Everyone wanted it to be real, because deep down we wanted some absurdity in the game. When it was revealed to be a hoax and the community petitioned the developers to add it, they scoffed and almost seemed insulted at the concept that they would sully their h4rdc0r3 game with such nonsense. |
