The Hilarious conclusion to this thread

Hi Everyone,

There seems to be a lot of misinformation and confusion over the recent mission system fixes with this latest patch and we wanted to clarify a few specific points of concern with all of you.

First of all, Mission Experience has not been ‘nerfed’.

We simply closed down an exploit that was unintended in the design. This design exploit allowed players the ability to continuously reject missions until an extremely favorable location appeared. Typically, this new mission location would be in the very same floor and building as the previously completed mission. This 'sweet spotting' allowed players to knock out missions in record time, often without any travel or preparation time involved. This was extremely unbalancing to the game and needed to be changed.

So what did we change?

Well, in the fast-paced world of the Mega City, faster is not always better. When you accept a mission from one of the three Organizations, or a special neighborhood contact, they are now expecting quality – not quantity. Completing missions are not speed races, and each one should take a certain amount of time to complete.

For example, it should take players about 30 minutes to complete the three phases of an ‘Assassination’ mission undertaken on the ‘Hard’ setting . If a player somehow completes all three phases of the mission in the blindingly fast time of three minutes (which is about 10% of the normal time), then they will now only receive 10% of the total prize instead of the full 100%.

So now, the crafty player who 'sweet spots' a mission location will get roughly the same amount of information and experience that a normal player receives by playing it straight.

How long should missions take?

Each mission is different, and many contain different time modifiers based on the tasks and travel involved. However, a good rule of thumb is that an ‘Easy’ mission should take 10 minutes, a ‘Medium’ mission 20 minutes, and a ‘Hard’ one 30 minutes.

There are no bonuses or penalties associated with completing a mission later than expected. So if you always finish 10 minute Easy missions in 15 minutes, you will always get 100% of the reward. But if they only take you 5 minutes to finish then it will be 50% of the total.

When performing a mission, simply making sure that all NPCs are killed or dealt with will almost always ensure that the proper time limit is used up. Using secret short-cuts to defeat your missions will still earn you victories; they just won't pay as well.
For honesty sake I'll let you all know a retarded monkey while masterbating could finish a "hard" mission in 10 minutes.
