| The only major criticism I have with the game right now is the frequency of spell and combat art bug fixes. They have hundreds of bugs in the spells system. When they said "Hundreds of spell/combat art fixes and updates!" they really meant a search/replace to fix some stupid mechanics, and maybe 30 or so actual fixes. Granted, that's five times the normal number of fixes per update, but it's still crap. They need to light a fire under the spell team's collective asses. This patch will fix seven of the obvious serious bugs in my main's list, leaving at least twice that still to go.
Other than that, I think they are tending to make good progress. The quest team, items team and tradeskill team actually seem to be working hard to improve the game, and when they release new content it's generally been pretty good.
The high end stuff needs work in terms of both risk (too easy) and reward (too random/uninspiring), but some of that they are going to address soon in the big "balance patch", so I have a small about of hope. |
