| You shouldnt really install XP over 98.
You should format to a fresh drive, boot from your XP upgrade CD and when it looks for a previous windows install to upgrade from, it will say none found and ask you to put in a previous WinOS disk and it will just verify that its a real disk, then XP will install like you had a full version. |
