| Plate classes Its really cool that we can have monks pull, tank and deal van damage in my ssra xp/timesink group. It allows for our warrior to dual comp the enchanter while fiddling around with his laptop to get it to connect to his network.
When I form a group that I want to be high octane, you know who I look for? Rogues, Rangers and Monks. Pick a warrior? Why bother, monks can tank just as well. That is also how alot of people I know think.
As a former plate class player, sure it kinda stings. It makes me feel kinda sad that the only class defining thing a warrior has is /disc defensive. Remove or bump up the AC cap please for warriors only. The warriors damage mitigation is its only class feature. Don't make us the red headed stepchild of melee.
I used to really like playing my warrior. But I got sick of being 3rd on my guilds MT depth chart. I got sick of being relagated to being "extra" damage. I wanted a class that had a definitive role. I picked a rogue. A class thats defined role is simple, do a TON of damage, CR when necessary, scout when applicable and use my skills to assist my group and or raid. Not just sit, wait for Coth, hope the first 2 MT's don't screw up so I'm needed, hit auto attack and watch TV. Occasionally looking at the monitor to ensure my push isn't fucking up the raid.
I used to love playing a warrior. Mudflation and VI ignoring my class fucked it up.
