| As kind of a cludgy solution you could get one of those pci slot fans and stick it right up against your video card.
Have you checked to see if the fan on your vid card is even turning?
BTW, turning your machine off at night won't help much as it'll heat up to "running" temp pretty quickly anyway. And it's actually harder on the board to power up and power down frequently than to just run all the time (unless you're shutting it down for days at a time).
