| In any case, why did the Empire have to build the Death Star? Was a massive army and fleet not good enough for them? Did they really need a super weapon to keep people in line instead of doing it with stormtroopers and naval bombardment? I thought the DS was just built to be an invicible base with which to crush the rebellion which hasnt been formed before the DS construction.
