| This tends to happen if you have the CPU set to run way too fast, at least that's my experience with AMD chips. Haven't had an Intel system in years and years, but I imagine it's the same thing.
Unplug the system completely, pull the CMOS battery, and clear the CMOS. That should reset the settings to default (there may even be a jumper you have just have to short to clear the memory, depends on the mobo). |
