I recently ordered a Pentium 4 3.0E HT processor from newegg.com. I made sure my motheboard would support the chip so there would be no problems. I was using a pentium 4 2.66 chip overclocked to 3.1 ghz.

After installing the chip I turned on the CPU. Nothing loaded not even the bios. Now from what I know normally the bios would beep if the chip is bad or any other components in my system hardware. I tried blowing on the pins to make sure there was connection, yet that did nothing. Im wondering if you guys have had any experience like this with installing cpu's. I have installed CPU's before and never ran into this problem. And again my motherboard does support pentium 4 and hyperthreading technology. Also I have a 480 watt powersupply so im sure its not that either.
