As far as we know, its horde vs. alliance. That means human+dorf+gnome+elf vs. orc+tauren+troll+undead. There is no x-teaming.

They also mentioned that PVP on a large scale will occur, on regular servers at least, within a level specific instance. No lvl 50s ganking hordes of 20s.
