| Give me a break. You can afford to upgrade/buy a machine that can run EQ2, with the DX9 pixelshader minimum vid card requirement, and the P4 2.5 or whatever minimum proc spec, but you're too cheap/unable to spring for a $40 DVD-ROM drive?
I think that's more your problem than Sony's, frankly.
FFS, who in their right mind would want to swap through 10 friggin' CDs just to install the game, even once? It's not like folks are going to be busting out their legacy, Win 98 systems with 256 MB ram and that zippy GF2 in order to play.
It's about time all game producers moved into the current age when it comes to games. If your game requires a $400 processor and a $400 video card and 12 GB of drive space to play, boys, it's okay to also ask that the end user have a DVD ROM drive. Really. |
