| Punk was about attitude, and politcally much was to do with anarchy due to the anti-state establishment ideals that went with it. It was a lifestyle, in much the same way being a 'hippie' is a lifestyle. Do you see any hippie bands getting MTV time today? Heck no, that time has come and gone. So has punk. I expect there are still punks out there, the likes of Good Charlotte are a far cry from it all though.
